Welcome Betty Rea

Sheringham Medical Practice welcomes Betty Rea to the team. Betty is a Mental Health Social Prescribing Link Worker from Norfolk and Waveney Mind and she is based at Sheringham Medical Practice once a week on a Wednesday. Betty will be offering patients the opportunity to explore and discuss how they are feeling, how to manage their symptoms and signpost to additional service. The service is for patients 16+ with mental health and wellbeing need. Betty is a registered Occupational Therapist by background and she has always had a passion for supporting young people and adults of all ages with their mental health – empowering individuals to take back ownership of their mental health needs.

If you would like an appointment with Betty please contact the practice the appointment will last approximately 45 minutes. Betty can speak with patients with the following:

  • Anxiety/Panic
  • Low self-esteem
  • Low mood/depression
  • Addiction
  • Isolation & Loneliness
  • Self-harm
  • Pandemic related stress and anxiety
  • Carers
  • Bereavement
  • Anger
  • Suicidal Idealization
  • LGBTQ+ mental health
