We are happy and proud to have had a very busy time vaccinating patients every day this week. Another 582 vaccinations given yesterday at Sheringham Health Centre and a similar number booked for today.
We are delighted that following yesterday’s clinics, over 80 per cent of our over 80s have been vaccinated. The remainder are mostly housebound who have booked appointments for next week. We will be vaccinating about 150 housebound patients in their homes.
Nearly 80 per cent of our 74-79s have also had the vaccine and that figure will increase with today’s clinic, where we are also vaccinating some of our 70-74s and Clinically Extremely Vulnerable patients.
All our Residential Care and Nursing homes patients and staff have also been vaccinated or offered the vaccine.
We will update you further after today’s clinic but this is really good news.
Thank you so much to all members of our incredible team who have really pulled out the stops and gone over and above this week. Thank you also to our fantastic volunteers who have been so organised, dedicated and patient, despite the many weather challenges.
And a massive thank you also to you – our patients – both for bearing with us under very adverse weather conditions last week and supporting us by coming to the surgery for your vaccines even when the going is tough! We are proud to be able to deliver this incredibly important service to you.
Due to this fantastic progress we have a lull in our vaccine supply next week. Don’t worry if you haven’t been contacted yet or if you have had a letter but not been called. We will be in touch as soon as we have more vaccine stocks available and patients in your group or cohort are being called.
