The following are some of the services that we offer at the practice:
Health reviews
- Antenatal and postnatal checks
- Diabetic
- Asthma
- Coronary heart disease
- Epilepsy
- Respiratory
All patients with the above conditions will be invited by the practice nurse/HCA and/or their own doctors to an annual check up. This will enable the practice to provide a better continuity of care and ensure you are receiving the correct treatment for your condition.
Arthritis
Arthritis care checks are made by all the doctors within normal surgery hours.
‘Come have a chat’ with a trained arthritis care volunteer who runs 30 minute face to face appointments here at Sheringham Medical Practice. You can make an appointment by phoning the practice between 08:00 and 17:30.

Family planning
Appointments for advice and action on contraception/pre-contraception are made with the practice nurse in the well woman clinic or with your own doctor, in normal surgery hours.
You can make an appointment by phoning the practice between 08:00 and 17:30.
If you have been advised by the surgery to submit a contraceptive pill review, please use our online form.
Foreign travel immunisation
Visit our Travel Room for vaccinations, medication and travel advice.
A full foreign travel immunisation service is available.
If you require a yellow fever vaccination, please call 03333111007 which will take you to a booking system for Superdrug at St Stephens and you can book an appointment directly with them.
If you are travelling abroad, please make sure you contact us in plenty of time to arrange any vaccinations that may be necessary. To help the travel nurses assess your travel needs, it is important that they are in receipt of the assessment form before your appointment.
Hearing aid batteries
These will no longer be provided by GP surgeries. You will need to contact the following:
- Norfolk Deaf Association, mobile clinics and community clinics, timetables from NDA 120 Thorpe Road,Norwich. Telephone 01603 404 440 or visit the Norfolk Deaf website.
- Cromer Hospital on 01263 513 571.
You will be given your year’s supply on production of your white hearing aid card.
Infant immunisations
These are held with a doctor, practice nurse and health visitor. Appointments for these will automatically be sent.
Minor surgery
Minor surgery procedures are performed by all of the doctors by arrangement.
Minor injury service
The practice provides a minor injury service, during normal opening hours.
Preventative medicine
We are keen to promote good health. We recommend that everyone over the age of 30 years should have their blood pressure checked, every three years with a practice nurse.
Keep active, watch your weight, do not smoke and drink alcohol, only in moderation.
Well women
Appointments for smears, HRT and pill checks etc are made with the practice nurse.
