I qualified as a doctor in 1985 and have been an integral part of our practice since joining as a GP partner in 1995. With over 30 years of medical experience, I have built a strong rapport with patients and dedication to providing high-quality healthcare.

Dr Seyed Izzadeen

GP Partner

Dr Seyed Izzadeen – GP Partner – MBBS 2008, MRCGP 2019
I qualified as a GP in August 2019 after completing my GP registrar ST3 post at Sheringham Medical Practice. I joined the practice as a Salaried GP in February 2020 and quickly made a significant impact. In recognition of my dedication and contributions, I became a Partner in April 2022.
I play a pivotal role in overseeing the care of patients in the local Nursing and Residential homes. I also lead the practice’s Nursing Team, ensuring that high standards of care are consistently delivered to some of the most vulnerable members of the community.
My strong commitment to patient care and leadership within the practice have made me a trusted figure both among colleagues and patients. I bring expertise, compassion, and dedication to my role, ensuring the well-being of patients in Sheringham and fostering collaboration within the practice’s clinical team.
I work 8 sessions over 4 days – Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday

Dr Sean Ward

GP Partner

Dr Sean Ward – BA in Sport Health and Exercise 2003, MBBS 2013, MRES Masters in Medical Research 2010, MRCGP 
I grew up in the North East with a passion for sports and exercise, which led me to earn a degree in Sport at Durham University. Early in my career, I worked in youth work, community projects, and management within children’s services for local government.
A change in career path brought me to Norfolk, where I completed my medical training at the University of East Anglia, along with a master’s in medical research. I am passionate about medical education and have been an associate tutor at UEA for the past seven years, teaching medical students and guiding their development into future practitioners. I also teach medical students for the UEA (University Research Associates) program.
I have a strong interest in public health and have been involved in numerous research projects that aim to improve community well-being. Outside of work, I enjoy exploring Norfolk’s beautiful beaches, walking, running, and playing basketball and golf.
For those of you who have already met me, you’ll know that I’m a dedicated follower of Dr. Chatterjee, whose website, podcasts, and social media channels offer plenty of useful tips on how to live better and feel great (www.drchatterjee.com).
I joined Sheringham Medical Practice as a Partner on 3rd January 2023, and I’m proud to be part of such a dynamic and supportive team. I represent the practice at the Primary Care Development and Primary Care Network meetings, ensuring our voice and insights are heard in shaping local healthcare. I currently work seven sessions a week, on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday

Dr Kate Forrest – Partner, Prescribing Lead and GP Trainer – MBBS 2012 & MRCGP 2022
I qualified as a doctor in 2012 and went on to complete my GP training in 2022. I joined Sheringham Medical Practice in January 2022 as a partner. With a keen interest in medical education and mentorship, I  also serve as the practice’s GP Trainer, shaping the next generation of doctors.
As the Prescribing Lead, I play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications for our patients. My dedication to continuous learning and innovation helps keep the practice at the forefront of primary care.

Dr Konyinsola Emeya – MBBS August 2007
I started work as a General Practitioner in October 2022 having completed my GP training in August 2022 under the Norfolk Training programme, East of England. During my GP training programme, I had rotations in renal medicine, endocrinology, emergency medicine, geriatric medicine, as well as general practice.  During my rotations in general practice, I have also gained good experience in paediatrics, mental health, men’s health, women’s health and in managing chronic diseases.
Earlier in my medical career, I worked as an SHO at William Harvey Hospital in Ashford, Kent for 11 months in Geriatric medicine as an employee of NES Healthcare Ltd. Prior to this, I worked in the private and public health sector in Nigeria for 11 years before relocating to the United Kingdom in 2018.
I am passionate about mental health and the care of the elderly, and I also enjoy all aspects of my job as a general practitioner. Patient-centred care forms the core of my practice, and I am focused on providing safe and quality care using a holistic approach to meet my patients’ healthcare needs.  I work collaboratively with my patients to provide management plans that are tailored to their problems and goals. I can also offer considered medical opinions on any aspect of primary care, diagnosis and treatment.
I work 7 sessions over 4 days – Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday

Dr Anna Stenberg

Dr Anna Stenberg – MBBS 2007, MRCGP 2012
I moved to the UK from Sweden in 2002 to attend Medical School and completed my medical degree in 2007. In 2012 I completed my GP training and I have since been working as a salaried GP and GP partner elsewhere.
I enjoy the variety of medicine that general practice provides, and I also have an interest in teaching and palliative care.
I spend a lot of time outdoors exploring woodlands as well as coastal paths with my young family and dog and I generally have a keen interest in sport.
I work 4 sessions over 2 days – Mondays and Fridays

Nurse Practitioner/Team Coordinator

Jess moved from Lincolnshire to Norfolk 2 years ago. Prior to nursing she did a biology degree at Kingston University, then completed her post graduate diploma in Nursing with Nottingham University. Jess started at Sheringham Medical practice in December 2021 and has completed her masters in Advancing professional practice.

Jess is involved in management of patients with diabetes, asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and chronic kidney disease. Jess also sees adults and children with most health concerns including skin complaints/lesions, abdominal concerns, chest pain, chest infections, ear problems, pain, depression/mental health concerns.

Chris Tate

Nurse Practitioner

Chris is an experienced Nurse Practitioner. Her background includes health visiting, mental health nursing and practice nursing. She has also worked as a Macmillan nurse specialist and spent many years working with HIV patients in London.

She is available to see patients face to face or as a telephone consultation for all common family health issues including childhood illness, aches and pains, rashes, skin lesions, coughs and colds and contraception. She can examine diagnose and prescribe medicines as needed and can refer for specialist opinion too.

Susan Lees

Nurse Practitioner

Susan is a Nurse Practitioner seeing a wide range of on the day minor illness presentations such as sore throats, ear infections, chest infections, urine infections and many other minor illnesses. Susan also sees some minor injuries.

Susan has a keen interest in skin conditions such as acne, eczema, psoriasis and rashes.

Michele Willis

Nurse Prescriber

Michele is an experienced Nurse Prescriber and has worked in general practice for 15 years. Michele joined Sheringham Medical Practice 8 July 2019 as a Nurse Prescriber and she offers the following clinics diabetes, COPD, asthma, coronary heart disease and atrial fibrillation.

Michele also has an interest in women’s health, child and travel vaccinations.

Julie is a Practice Nurse. Julie’s background is in diabetes and she moved from a diabetes facilitator role at Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital.

Julie joined Sheringham Medical Practice in June 2021 as a Practice Nurse in general practice Julie offers the following clinics smears, child and adult vaccinations, ring changes, dressings, hormone injections, women’s health – contraception and HRT reviews and Hypertension/CHD reviews. Julie specialises in diabetes.

Zoe qualified as a Nurse in 2014 and worked at the Norfolk & Norwich prior to joining the practice as a treatment room nurse on 30 November 2020.

Zoe offers the following clinics Dressings, Respiratory Reviews, Cervical Smears, Contraception, Adult Vaccinations, Child Immunisations, Blood Pressure Checks and Blood Tests.

Julie Sterry

Nurse Practitioner

I am a nurse prescriber and have worked in general practice for many years. 
I have a particular interest in women’s health and have spent the past few years specialising in this area and have a particular interest in menopause.   I fit intrauterine devices (‘coils’) and contraceptive implants at the surgery.  
I also have an interest in long-term conditions, particularly respiratory and diabetes.

Health Care Assistant/Team Coordinator

Lisa began her career at Sheringham Medical Practice in 2007 as a medical receptionist and trained internally in 2010 as an HCA. Lisa is the HCA Team coordinator, and she helps support the HCA GPs and the nursing team.

Lisa works in practice Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and her role is health promotion, and her lead areas are Spirometry and Dementia. Lisa covers a wide variety of clinics including chronic disease, dressings, vaccinations, annual reviews and ECG,s

Chrissy Seago

Health Care Assistant

Chrissy is an experienced Health Care Assistant who joined the practice on 2 July 2019. Chrissy has worked in general Practice for 15 years starting her career as a medical secretary and then re training as an HCA.

Chrissy works in practice Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and her role is health promotion, she also covers a wide variety of clinics including chronic disease, dressings, vaccinations, annual reviews and ECG,s.

Emily Lorimer

Health Care Assistant

Emily joined the practice on 12 July 2021 as a health care assistant. Emily is currently developing her role as an HCA and hopes to apply for the Training Nursing Associate Apprenticeship once she has consolidated her in house training.

Emily works Monday, Wednesday and Friday her role is health promotion, and she offers NHS checks, New patient checks, ECG, Blood pressure and vaccination clinics.

Pauline Craske

Practice Manager

Pauline is the Practice Manager at Sheringham Medical Practice. Pauline started at the practice as a receptionist/filing clerk in 1997 and progressed to reception manager, office manager and from August 2005 Practice Manager. Pauline completed the Receptionist Amspar qualification and in 2008 completed the diploma in Primary Care Management.

Pauline works Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and her role involves operational management including day to day running of the practice, HR, Premises, clinical governance, patient services and public relations.

Emma Clarke

Practice Organisational Manager

Emma is the Practice Organisational Manager at Sheringham Medical Practice. Emma started at the practice as a receptionist in 2001 and progressed to reception manager and from 2014 Management Team Assistant.

Emma works Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday and her role involves managing Mandatory Training requirements, new starters and leavers, staff inductions, Significant Events and covering Practice Manager in her absence.

Sacha Harris-Smith

Management Team Personal Assistant

Sacha works as a Personal Assistant to the management team. Sacha started as a Data Entry Clerk in 2004 and moved into the Secretarial team in 2007, where she gained a Level 3 Diploma in Medical Secretaries/Business Admin.

Sacha became Secretarial Team Lead before moving into her current role in January 2023.

Sacha works Tuesday – Friday and her role involves administerial work regarding new starters, leavers, staff training, HR issues, and medical students.

Kayleigh Dorey

Quality Improvement Facilitator

Kaleigh is the Quality Service Manager at Sheringham Medical Practice. Kayleigh completed her work experience at the practice when she was 15 years old, she then worked during school holidays. Kayleigh started working as a scanning clerk in 2005 she progressed to medical secretary and gained her Level 3 diploma Medical secretary qualification and from 2017 became the Quality Improvement facilitator.

Kayleigh works Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and her role involves running medical searches, research, IT, managing the face book and website, QOF and Enhanced Services. Kayleigh works closely with the PCN Digital & Transformation Lead in identifying new initiatives that will improve service provision.

Kayleigh also covers duty manager in the absence of Pauline Craske and Emma Clarke

Paula Fraser

Dispensary Manager

Paula is the dispensary Manager at Sheringham Medical Practice. Paula started at the practice in December 1991 as a filing clerk, she progressed to receptionist then prescription clerk and now is the dispensary manager, in 2000 she completed her BTEC level 2 dispensing course.

Paula works Tuesdays, Wednesday Thursday and Friday and she is responsible for efficiently running the dispensary to ensure patients obtain the medication and prescriptions within our specified timeframe and she also process discharge and clinic letters that are sent from the hospital where the patient is needing medication, these letters need to be processed within 72 hours to allow patients to obtain their medication in a reasonable timeframe

Andreea Perrott

Finance Manager

Andreea joined Sheringham Medical Practice in 2002. After working initially as a Receptionist and Data entry Clerk, she took on the role of Practice Administrator in 2004, followed by Business Administrator in 2007.

Andreea went on to study Accountancy with Kaplan Financial and qualified as an AAT Level 4 Professional Accounting Technician in 2008.In 2017, Andreea’s role developed to Finance Manager. Her responsibilities are overseeing the day to day finance & business administration functions, month end accounting and preparation of VAT returns, administration of online banking, payroll and pensions, financial claims & funding applications, insurance policies and business contracts.

Reception Admin Manager

Maddy is the Reception Admin Manager at Sheringham Medical Practice. She started at the practice in 2018 as an apprentice in Reception. Maddy completed her Customer Service NVQ Level 2 in 2019 and progressed to Reception Team Coordinator in 2021 and from 2024 Reception Admin Manager.
 
Maddy works Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and her role involves managing the workload of the admin teams, supporting and developing the teams, ensuring the processes are functioning efficiently and effectively, Weekly Rotas and updating protocols.

Sharon Stilgoe

Mental Health Case Worker

Sharon Stilgoe is based at Sheringham Medical Tuesday – Friday she is a Mental Health Case worker who is employed by Norfolk and Waveney Mind. Sharon is also a fully qualified experienced Person-centred counsellor.

Sharon’s role is to offer support and guidance and further signposting as required, Sharon can help with a range of Mental Health issues for people suffering with Mental ill Health, including Anxiety, depression, stress, bereavement and loss, trauma, domestic abuse, eating disorders and more offering a safe place for patients to explore their feelings through empathetic listening, also offering guidance and support, coping strategies and distraction techniques.

Sharon can also signpost/refer to Wellbeing, REST, Mind low-cost counselling, social prescribing, a much more, and longer-term support if needed.Telephone and Face to face appointments available, 1-hour Initial consultation and follow up appointments.Support is designed to be short term; however, support will be guided by individual patient needs and circumstances. “Sheringham Medical Practice -Primary Care Network Team

Nia Heycock

Parish Nurse

Nia qualified as a nurse in 2002 at the University of Wales, Bangor. She has worked in many NHS Trusts including Derriford Hospital in Plymouth and Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge. In November 2021 she became a Parish Nurse working for the Salvation Army Corps in Sheringham.

As a Parish Nurse Nia offers personal health advice, advocacy support, health education, assistance with blue badge forms and she also helps run support groups in Sheringham, including a Bereavement Care group held at the Salvation Army Hall on Friday mornings. Nia is also able to seek support for people in the community that may require more assistance within their own homes. Nia works closely with local agencies and can make referrals when required.Nia runs a clinic at the GP surgery every Tuesday morning from 09:15-12:15.

Gary Beauchamp

First Point Physiotherapist 

Gary is a First Contact physiotherapist and is based at Sheringham Medical practice. Gary works in practice on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Gary competed his honours degree in Physiotherapy at the University of East Anglia and graduated in 1998.

He completed his junior grade physiotherapy rotations at the Pilgrim Hospital in Boston and after a spell in Ascot returned to Norfolk in 2001. Specialising in Musculoskeletal out-patients and he has worked in North Norfolk for over 20 years developing my skills.The First contact Physiotherapist role offers fast access to a Physiotherapist with expertise in Musculoskeletal conditions. They will offer a comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, advice and education on how to manage your condition and if specialist services are necessary? (Orthopaedics, Rheumatology) refer onto these. 20-25% of Sheringham patients attend the practice with Musculoskeletal conditions that do not require being seen by a GP. First contact Physiotherapy offers fast access to expert advice locally to the patient.

Sarah Mapes

Clinical Pharmacist

Sarah qualified as a pharmacist in 2002 following a 5year Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences and work experience in NNUH and community pharmacies. Sarah’s first job was managing what was then Moss Pharmacy in Sheringham for 7 years before starting a Teacher Practitioner Role at UEA, completing a Clinical Pharmacy Diploma, and moving into Primary Care work across all 19 North Norfolk Practices for 13 years. During this time, she completed the Independent Prescribing Course, Asthma and COPD diplomas.

In February 2020 Sarah moved into a PCN role with Fakenham, Holt, Sheringham and Wells and in December 2021 she completed an 18-month training pathway to develop further new skills and knowledge for working in general practice.

As a Clinical Pharmacist Sarah is now based only at Sheringham she brings a range of new skills including expert knowledge of medicines, supporting the practice team from GPs to dispensary. It is a varied role, still in development but an average day involves providing advice to clinicians and dispensary, speaking to patients by phone or face to face to resolve problems, reviewing medication and optimising it particularly for patients on lots of medication, carrying out medication audits, checking medication monitoring, visiting care homes, liaising with community pharmacies and hospitals, sharing research and safety updates with the practice team.

Sarah works in practice on alternate Tuesdays and every Thursday and Friday.

Social Prescribing Link workers give people time (one hour appointment slot), focusing on ‘what matters to me’ and taking a holistic approach to people’s health and wellbeing. They connect people to community groups and statutory services for practical and emotional support.

Grace Youart

Enhanced Recovery Worker

Enhanced Recovery Workers are non-clinical, meaning they cannot prescribe
or advise on medication, or issue sick/fit notes. They also cannot work with any patient already accessing other mental health services, or anyone in crisis.

Grace is able to provide six 45-minute sessions.  Grace supports individuals with mild to moderate mental health issues who are aged 14+ and the patient may return to use the service after a 3-month break.
