Advice on Visiting the Practice

We are running many of our usual primary care services and patients are encouraged to contact us with their healthcare concerns.

During the Pandemic we identified that many issues can be dealt with on the phone or via our website.

For those who wish to register as a new patient we ask that you complete the New Patient Registration form.

If you usually order your medication in person (by handing in your repeat slip) then telephone the practice or visit the website www.sheringhammedical.nhs.uk and we can set you up with online access which allows you to do this online (whilst also allowing you to see any recent blood tests, immunisations and your Summary Care Record). It will be a useful tool for many patients during this pandemic, and after.

If you have symptoms of coronavirus (a high temperature or a new, continuous cough), use the 111 coronavirus service.

If you need help or advice not related to coronavirus:

  • for health information and advice, use the NHS website, our practice website or telephone the practice
  • for urgent medical help, use the NHS 111 online service
  • for life-threatening emergencies, call 999 for an ambulance

Read the full advice on protecting yourself if you’re at a higher risk from coronavirus on GOV.UK.

If you live with someone who has symptoms of coronavirus, you can get an isolation note, you do not need to get a note from a GP.

Thank you for your continued patience, help and understanding at this time.
